Bilateral Meeting With Minister For National Development Of Singapore

YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Minister of Finance ll welcomed H.E. Chee Hong Tat, Minister for National Development of Singapore for a bilateral meeting.

As co chairs of the Malaysia-Singapore Joint Ministerial Committee for Iskandar Malaysia (JMCIM), discussions focused on the progress of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) and aimed to review progress, address challenges, clarify the working structures for joint initiatives and identify opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation in economic, transport, environmental and energy sectors. The Ministers emphasised the importance of building a model for intergovernmental collaboration that could also serve as an example for other ASEAN countries.
