Non-Subsidised RON95 Retail Price Set At RM2.60 Per Litre As BUDI95 Commences

 Non-Subsidised RON95 Retail Price Set At RM2.60 Per Litre As BUDI95 Commences

With the implementation of the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) programme effective 30 September 2025, the RON95 retail price without subsidy has been set at RM2.60 per litre. Through the targeted subsidy approach, BUDI95 enables Malaysians to enjoy petrol RON95 at the subsidised price of RM1.99 per litre.

Under BUDI95, Malaysians stand to benefit from a subsidy of RM0.61 per liter dan based on the eligibility limit of 300 litres per month, this subsidy benefit amounts to up to RM183 per month per individual.

The Government will continue to closely monitor market developments and align the retail price of RON95 in line with global oil fluctuations, whilst supporting price stability. As a start, the retail price of RON95 will remain at RM2.60 per litre for October 2025.

Therefore, based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, the retail prices of petroleum products from 30 September 2025 to 8 October 2025 are fixed as follows:

  1. the retail price of RON97 petrol remains unchanged at RM3.21 per litre;

  2. the retail price of subsidised RON95 petrol for eligible Malaysian citizens under BUDI95 is set at RM1.99 per litre;

  3. the retail price of non-subsidised RON95 petrol is set at RM2.60 per litre;

  4. the retail price of subsidised RON95 for the public land transport sector and the land freight transport sector under the Subsidised Petrol Control System (SKPS) is set at RM 2.05 per litre;

  5. the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia remains unchanged at RM2.93 per litre; and

  6. the retail price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remains unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

The Government will continue to monitor global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people.

For e-hailing drivers, the Government will work with E-hailing Operators (EHO) to identify drivers eligible for additional fuel subsidy. The Ministry of Finance (MoF), together with APAD, will finalize the application process for the additional subsidy with the EHOs this week.

The Government has also agreed to consider allowing boat operators, especially in Sabah and Sarawak, to qualify for the subsidised price. The Government is working with relevant agencies and the respective State Governments to collect data on boat owners to ensure that they are not left out from enjoying the benefits of the BUDI95 subsidised fuel price.
